Better known under the alias KSHMR, Niles Hollowell-Dhar has consolidated his own hot spot in the EDM scene, as a result of his personalized, multiple and appealing musical approach. His acclaim as a major force in the electronica scene took place at the Ultra Music Festival in the long gone year of 2015.

The Altice Forum Braga will host the fifth edition of the Dancefloor Festival, on 26 and 27 July, an event that now announces another worldwide star: KSHMR.

As a headliner, the Portuguese public will have a Niles Hollowell-Dhar like never before. The renowned "ghost-producer" will bring his mystery aura in the baggage just to be able to unveil it on stage, paying homage to his origins in each of his productions, and living up to the epithet "Paradise on Earth"; the land of Kashmir where he has his roots plunged. Son of an Indian father and an American mother, he studied at the Berkeley High School where he meets rapper David Benjamin Singer-Vine. It was in California where his fascination for music grew, fueled by the creations in the midst of the hip-hop duo Cataracs, alongside Singer-Vine. A short time later, from a vast list of musicians who did not do without their services we can now name: Far East Movement, Dev, Snoop Dogg and New Boyz. The Cataracs registered the genius of their productions in tracks such as "Like a G6", "Booty Bounce", or in the singles "Wet" and "Backseat".

In 2014, his path took a turn, approaching renewed formulas and textures, and unveiling the pseudonym KSHMR, which reinforced his own identity in the music scene. Hollowell-Dhar's solo adventure was destined to the scope o electronic music, impressed by dozens of singles released and memorable collaborations with Tiësto, Hardwell, R3hab and many others.

The first big moment of planetary recognition coincides with the release of "Burn," which quickly stormed Beatport's top 40 in a bursting climb to the top of the table. The achievement had the watermark of three labels: Revealed Recordings, Ultra Records and Spinnin 'Records.

After the KSHMR’s celestial performance at the Ultra Music Festival of 2015, "Secrets" was launched, counting with the participation of Tiësto and Vass, and becoming an instant hit, which held the theme at the top of the reference tables of electronic music. With time, it became more and more usual, with KSHMR being awarded with successive milestones in the Beatport Top.

The consistency of the American musician could be confirmed in memorable performances at festivals such as Tomorrowland, in 2016, and the Ultra Music Festival Miami. The first work ever released on its own label, Dharma WorldWide, was "Festival of Lights", the result of a collaboration with Maurice West. "Festival of Lights" is strongly inspired by the Indian culture.

KSHMR entered 2019 with the track "No Regrets", flanked by the Belgian DJ Yves and the North American band Krewella. The acclaim of the critics didn’t take long. In the course of 2019, KSHMR will travel the world from A to Z; from South America to Asia, through Europe. His presence in Portugal, we assure you, will not go unnoticed: the best dance floor in the country and one of the most prominent characters of the Hard Dance scene.
